Berau to sell new brand of high-rank coal product next year

Operational Director of PT Berau Coal Energy, Arief Wiedhartono said that the company expected to produce about 1 million tonnes of Ebony High Sulfur in 2012, to be mined from its block in Sambarata, East Kalimantan.
?In principle, our existing buyers in India and China have agreed to buy the product (Ebony High Sulfur),? he said without elaborating the expected total export to the two countries.
The company said that some of its high-calorific coal product would would be for export and the rest would be used for blending with its low-rank coal.
The company currently has four coal product brands namely Mahoni, Mahoni-B, Agasthis and Sungkai with calorific value of between 5,500-5,800 kcal/kg (ADB). (giok)
