Bhakti Energi to invest $19 billion in coal project

Coal miner group PT Bhakti Energi Persada (BEP) plans to invest US$ 19.3 billion to develop its coal mines in East Kutai, East Kalimantan in period 2015-2035, Kaltim Post reported.
President Director of BEP, Jeffrey Mulyono in his presentation said that the company would build among others a 130-km belt conveyor with total investment of $195 million and a unit of crushing plant and two stockpile with $90 million.
He said that the company would also build a coal port in Lubuk Tutung valued at $90 million and a coal-fired power plant with capacity of 750 MW. (*)
