Bhoruka eyeing Indonesian coal concessions

Indian industrial firm Bhoruka Group through its Indonesian unit PT Selaras Prima Energi (SPE) is scouting to acquire Indonesian coal mining concessions to meet fuel requirements of its power plant project in India.

SPE Director Prem Khubani told Petromindo.Com on Monday that the company is now in talks with a number of concession owners in Kalimantan and Sumatra.

?We are looking for greenfield projects with mineable reserves of at least 10 million tonnes with CV of around 5,300-5,500 kcal/kg,? he said, adding that firm had yet secured any deal.

The company?s power plant in Karnataka with start operation with 300-MW initially in 2010, ramping up to 1,000MW in 2018, he said.(denny)
