Bhumi Rantau boosts its coal output

South Kalimantan coal miner PT Bhumi Rantau Energi (BRE) is boosting its low-rank coal output to 250,000-290,000 tonnes per month from 220,000 tonnes per month during first semester, the company?s official told Petromindo.Com.

The official said that the company is expecting to reach its target of totaled 3 million tonnes of coal this year. As of September, the company has produced more than 2 million, the official said.

All the coal produced this year has been sold out. The company has bagged coal supply deal with China, India, Thailand, and to Holcim Indonesia, but the official said that the company is still open for spot buyers until the end of this year. ?Just send us the letter of interest, who knows we can arrange it,? the official said.

The official also said that the price will still be stable at around $53-54 per tonne until the end of this year.

Next year, the company is planning to further increase its coal output to 4.5 million tonnes, the official added.

BRE is coal unit of PT Tapin Suthra Berjaya (TSB), a joint venture between PT Hasnur Jaya Utama (Hasnur Group) and PT Padangbara Sukses Makmur. (denny)
