Bhumi Rantau cuts coal production on slowing demand, price

South Indonesia Kalimantan coal producer PT Bhumi Rantau Energi is revising down 2012 production target due to slowing demand and decline in price.
GM Business Operations Dadang Djupri told Petromindo.Com on Friday that the company may only produce 2.5-3 million tons of coal this year from 4.5 million tons originally planned.
The company has produced 1.2 million tons of coal in the first half of 2012.
The company is exporting its coal mostly to India, followed by China, Thailand and Malaysia. The company has one concession in Rantau, Tapin Region, South Kalimantan with total resources of 100 million tons and reserves of 60 million tons.
