Bhumi Sriwijaya eyes 400,000 tons maiden coal output

Indonesia emerging coal mining company, PT Bhumi Sriwijaya Perdana Coal (BSPC) expects to have maiden coal production of up to 400,000 tons this year from its coal mine at Tungkal Jaya district, Musi Banyuasin regency, about 120 km north of Palembang, the capital city of South Sumatra.
Humala Oloan, Operational Director of PT BSPC told Petromindo.com that mining operation started in January.
Humala added that the production will be increased to 1.2 million tons in the following years.
BSPC holds a mining concession area of 8,072 hectares, consisting of 2 blocks: the North Block (BSPC North) with an area about 4,998 hectares, and the South Block (BSPC) with an area of 3,074 hectares.
