Coal mining company PT Borneo Indo Bara (BIB) targets to produce 4.3 million tons of coal this year from its concession in Tanah Bambu regency, South Kalimantan.

?This year, 70 percent of the production will be shipped to China, 12 percent to India. The rest will be sold on the domestic market,? Operational Director Retno Nartani told Petromindo.com on Wednesday.

Last year, the firm produced 4 million tons of coal. The firm will be able to increase output this year thanks to the completion of a conveyor newline with a capacity of 2000 tons per hour (TPH) at the concession.

?The conveyor newline will enter commissioning stage at the end of this month,? she said.

The concession has a size of 24,100 ha, owned by the Sinar Mas Group. The concession is estimated to hold 620.4 million tons of reserves and 1.5802 billion tons of resources.
