Bids for PLN?s CNG marine project expected to be submitted soon

State-owned electricity company PT. Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) said that five companies are expected to make bids for the development of the planned CNG marine transportation project.
The companies come from Japan, US, South Korea and China. ?God Willing, the bids will enter by end of January or early February,? Head of Fuel and Gas at PLN, Suryadi Mardjoeki told Petromindo.com Tuesday.
He said that once all bids have been submitted, PLN will make evaluation and negotiation process, to be followed with the appointment of the winning bidder.
As previously reported, the project will include the construction and operation of a CNG marine carrier, and loading & discharging facilities.
The CNG vessel will transport gas from Terang Sirasun gas field in East Java to PLN?s gas-fired power plant in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.
