PT Bina Bangun Wibawa Mukti (BBWM), a company owned by the Bekasi Regency administration in West Java, is building a second unit of LPG refinery and planning a third to boost total capacity of the refinery to 100 tons per day from the current 40 tons per day, Kontan reported on Wednesday.

The paper quoted company President Director Mukti Prananto Sukodjatmoko as saying that the planned third unit would have a capacity to process 15 mmscfd of natural gas from the Tambun and Pondok Makmur blocks into 40 tons per day of LPG and condensate.

He said that third LPG refinery will be developed in Babelan, Bekasi, at the same location of the first and second unit.

Mukti said that BBWM will offer the project to investors through a 9-year build, operate and transfer (BOT) scheme, under which the investor will get 70 percent of the output, and BBWM 30 percent.

He added that the third unit is expected to be completed in 2016. ?Our target is to have three refineries in 2016,? he said.

BBWM is currently developing a second unit under a 15-year BOT scheme with PT Maruta Bumi Prima. The Rp 200 billion refinery, which is expected to be completed in June of this year, will have a capacity to process 10 mmscfd of gas into 20 tons per day of LPG and 25 kilo liters per day of condensate.

BBWM?s first LPG refinery started operation in 2006, developed by PT Odira Energi Persada under a 10-year BOT scheme, with a capacity of 40 tons per day of LPG and 35 kl per day of condensate. (*)
