Binamitra sees coal production stable in 2008

East Kalimantan coal miner PT Binamitra Sumberarta sees its 2008 coal production at 1,75-1,80 million tonnes, unchanged compared to last year?s production of 1.75 million tonnes, a company official said.
Marketing Manager M. Rais told petromindo.com on Thursday that a bigger part of coal production from the company is sold to traders for export. This year, he said, the company has clinched deal to ship 400,000 tonnes of coal to Chinese trader for 2008 delivery.
The company will also supply 250,000 tonnes of coal this year to local PT.Terminal Batubara Indah, a Cirebon-West Java-based local trader.
The company sells coal with CV range of 5,850-5,950Kcal/kg.(denny)
