Flame secures coal supply deal with the mine

East Kalimantan coal miner PT Bintang Syahid Energy will boost its coal output to 90,000 per month starting November this year, from 30,000-50,000 tonnes of coal per month, currently.

The mine, which is located in Sambaliung, Berau regency has just started coal production two month ago with calorific value of 5,300 kcal/kg (GAR), the company?s official told Petromindo.Com.

The official said that the company has hired Balikpapapn-based contractor PT Megumi Anugerah to do the mining operation.

The coal will be be shipped out through a 9-kilometer route from the mine to jetty port in Segah river and from the port to transshipment point in Muara Pantai it will take around 16 hours of journey, the official said, adding that the jetty port can handle barge with a capacity of 270-feet.

According to the official, the coal output from the mine has been sold under long-term agreement with international trader Flame (denny)
