Biogas power plant to be developed in Tanah Laut

A 1 MW biogas power plant, based on palm oil mill effluent (POME), will soon be developed in Tanah Laut Regency, South Kalimantan, Antarakalsel.com reported Thursday.

Tanah Laut Regent Bambang Alamsyah said on Wednesday that the Directorate General of New and Renewable Energy at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and a company called PT Citra Putra Kebung Asri Jorong had on Wednesday signed an agreement to develop the biogas power plant project.

He said that once completed, the power plant will help increase power supply in the region. No further details about the project were provided. (*)
