Black Platinum Energy is seeking partner to develop the North Sokang Block in Natuna Sea, Riau Islands. The company is also still looking for buyers of gas to be produced from the block.
?There has been effort to farm out North Sokang by inviting oil and gas companies, and seeking buyers for the gas,? President Director of Black Platinum, W. Yudiana told Petromindo.com Wednesday.
Yudiana, however, said that the size of interest to be farmed out has yet to be decided. ?We have just sent this info to several potential partners,? he said, while adding that almost all 38 large oil and gas companies operating in the country have been informed.
The North Sokang block is estimated to have gas reserves of about 500-600 BCF.
Yudiana said previously that the gas discovery in North Sokang hopefully could lead to the finding of greater gas reserves of more than 1 TCF in the block. The company will certify the reserves after all exploration work has been completed.
