Indonesia-focused exploration firm Black Platinum Energy is looking to farm out part of interest at its North Sokang PSC block in Natuna Sea.

?We are looking for partner to develop the block,? CEO W. Yudiana Ardiwinata told Petromindo.Com. He did not give detail about percentage of interest the company planned to farm out.

Yudiana said the company has submitted plan of development for the block to the government.

?Our development plan and schedule is depending on our ability to secure partner to develop the block,? he said, adding that the company has been in talks with several interested parties.

Black Platinum has 100% interest in North Sokang, which was awarded late 2010.

In November 2012, Black Platinum completed two exploration wells in North Sokang PSC. Both wells - Dara 3 & 4 - targeted the Upper Pliocene sands and were plugged and abandoned as gas discoveries.

The Dara 3 well was drilled to a depth of 970 meters and intersected net gas pay of 18 meters. Dara 3 was successfully flow tested at a rate of 9 mmcfd. The nearby Dara 4 well was drilled to a depth of 770 meters and intersected net gas pay of 5 meters. The Dara 4 well was not tested. The Dara gas discovery has been independently assessed by RISC (a third party) to contain 920 bcf of dry gas.

According to the company?s website, it has completed a Conceptual Field Development Plan) which provides robust economics for either an FLNG or piped gas development from the discovered Dara gas field. The Company has also completed a third party Basis of Design of an FLNG vessel with a capacity of 1 mtpa.
