(08 February 2010)--Black Ridge Mining NL (BRD) are pleased to announce the appointment of David Tuit as an independent consultant, to assist with the assessment of the current Exclusive Dealing Agreement with PT Inmas Abadi (PIA), for the subbituminous coal deposit in Bengkulu region, Indonesia and, other prospects currently being considered by the company.

The appointment is effective immediately.

Tuit has extensive experience in business assessment and development strategies within the Indonesian corporate, finance and industry levels, and has spent the past few years based in Jakarta where he has specialised in the mining sector and in particular, within the coal industry.

His role will be to help BRD qualify the ongoing confirmation of legalities associated with the concession, the credibility of the resource data being provided by the vendors, and confirmation of the geological information in the region.

His experience within the mining industry encompasses over 30 years of appointments within Western Australia and Indonesia.

BRD entered into an Exclusive Dealing Agreement with PIA in December 2009 for a 5 month period, to investigate the legal and geological information available within the 7,687ha concession on Sumatra Island. The results of this investigation will form the basis of whether BRD will participate in the development of the deposit under a Joint Venture or similar arrangement with PIA and under what terms.
