Villagers that blockaded road to Anugerah Bara Kaltim mine road since Monday had agreed to disperse peacefully late Tuesday after the East Kalimantan coal miner agreed to heed to their demands to negotiate for compensation, a company official said on Thursday.
ABK General Manager Martusin Yapriadi told Petromindo.Com that production was not affected by the blockade.
Villagers, who accused the company of causing flooding to the surrounding areas, were demanding compensation from the company.
ABK produced some 3.5 million tonnes of coal in 2005. (denny)
