BNI manages Indonesia Power funds

State-controlled Bank BNI said it has signed an agreement with power company PT Indonesia Power to manage funds of the latter's 15 business units under a centralized system. Total funds to be managed by the bank is about Rp 200 billion per month.

?With the centralized system, we expect to intensify banking transactions within the Indonesia Power, so that BNI can benefit from floating fund of operational accounts and become a new source of new fee-based income,? BNI State Enterprise and Government Institution General Manager Putrama Wahju Setyawan said in a press release on Monday.

The 15 unit businesses under Indonesia Power include Pembangkit (power plant) Suralaya, Pembangkit Tanjung Priok, Pembangkit Saguling, Pembangkit Kamojang, Pembangkit Mrica, Pembangkit Semarang, Pembangkit Perak & Grati, power plant, operation and maintenance (UBPOH) Bali, the others Banten 1 Suralaya 8, Banten 2 Labuan, Banten 3 Lontar, UBOH PLTU 2 Jawa Barat Pelabuhan Ratu, UBOH Adipala, and UBOH Pangkalan Susu.

Besides the centralized account, BNI has also provided the services of BNI Cash Card PLN, a cash solution management for petty cash in business sub-units.
