Bomb blast rocks Newmont in West Nusa Tenggara

A bomb blast occurred Friday morning at the office of gold mining company Newmont Nusa Tenggara in the West Nusa Tenggara provinces' capital of Mataram, the company confirmed.
Company spokesperson Yonaniko Salim said the bomb blast, which took place at 3.40 a.m. local time, damaged the fence on the backyard of the office but caused no fatalities.
She told Peromindo.Com that company decided to stop operation but it expected to resume operation on Saturday
Newmont Nusa Tenggara, a subsidiary of American mining giant Newmont Corp, operates a giant gold mine in the Batu Hijau area in the province. (Alex)
