Bomb hoax at Rio Tinto?s Jakarta office

The Jakarta office of Anglo-Australian mining giant Rio Tinto on Tuesday received bomb threat from unidentified caller.

?We receive bomb threat from an unidentified caller at around 12.30 and all workers were immediately evacuated. Now all workers are going back to work,? said Nunik Maharani Maulana, Rio Tinto?s spokesperson to Petromindo.Com via phone.

Meanwhile, a company worker said that the police were searching for bomb Rio Tinto?s office and nothing was found.

Rio Tinto, together with BP Plc. are the owners of East Kalimantan based coal mining firm PT Kaltim Prima Coal. Both companies are involved in legal battle with East Kalimantan provincial administration over KPC?s divestment. (godang/kominta)
