Bomb threat, protest at mines ministry

Police?s bomb squad are sweeping Ministry of Energy and Mineral Recourses after bomb threat was received earlier, meanwhile, hundreds of people are voicing their protests at the ministry.
A ministry official who would not let his identity to be revealed said that a ministry employee received bomb threat at 10.15 Monday.
None of the ministry?s high-ranking official can be confirmed but Petromindo saw bomb squad police conducted sweeping within the ministry?s vicinity.
Meanwhile, hundreds of protesters grouped in Independent Workers?s Federation protested in front of the ministry, accusing Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro as main actor behind the plan to hike electricity tariff. Police from elite Mobile Brigade unit are guarding the ministry?s compound. (godang)
