Bone Bolongo mini hydro power plant to start operation in 2020

Independent power producer PT Bone Bolango Energi said its 9.9 MW PLTMH Bone Bolango mini hydro power plant project in Gorontalo Province is targeted to start operation in 2020.
Bone Bolango Director Tb. Suhariyaman Pateda told Petromindo.com on Thursday that progress of construction of the power plant has already reached 35 percent. ?We have set a target that the power plant will start operation two years after the signing of the PPA. The technology is imported from Europe,? he said, referring to power purchase agreement signed recently by the company with state-owned electricity firm PT PLN.
Under the PPA, the electricity output will be sold to PLN at a price of 10.52 US cents per kWh.
He also expected financial close of the project to be made soon. The project is expected to require investment of Rp 416.47 billion, of which 30 percent to be financed by own equity, and 70 percent by bank loans.
