Bontang LNG ready to supply two cargoes to S. Korea

PT Badak NGL as the operator of the Bontang LNG plant in East Kalimantan is ready to supply two cargoes of LNG to Korea Gas Corp (Kogas) this year as long as there has been green light from shareholder state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina.

This was said by Badak NGL President Director Nanang Untung to Petromindo.com Wednesday, in response to statement over the weekend by Director General of Oil and Gas A. Edy Hermantoro that South Korean buyers including Kogas were seeking for extra LNG supply from Indonesia.

Edy said that pending recommendation from the upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas, the extra supply of two cargoes outside the contracted volume may come from either Bontang LNG or Tangguh LNG in West Papua.
