The Bontang LNG plant in East Kalimantan has supplied one additional of LNG standard cargo to the Benoa LNG terminal in Bali, according to a senior official of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina.

?One standard (125,000 m3) cargo is equivalent to seven small cargoes sent to Benoa. So clearly that it?s already more than three times the shipments (from Bontang to Benoa),? Pertamina?s VP for LNG, Gas & Power Didik Sasongko Widi said to Petromindo.com.

The mini-scale LNG Terminal in Benoa, Bali, which is operated by PT Pelindo Energi Logistik (PEL), a subsidiary of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) III, has been in operation since April 2016. PEL has appointed IDX-listed energy transporter PT Humpuss Intermodal Transport Tbk?s subsidiary PT Humpuss Transportasi Kimia (HTK) to transport the LNG from Bontang LNG plant to the Benoa LNG terminal under a seven-year contract. Under the contract, HTK is obliged to deliver LNG for a power plant in Pesanggaran, Denpasar, Bali.

?Until now, our vessel called ?Triputra? has already transported a dozen cargoes of LNG from Bontang (to Benoa),? President Director of Humpuss Theo Lekatompessy told Petromindo.com. The firm uses tanker with a size of 20,000 cubic meters.

The Benoa LNG terminal will deliver 40 mmscfd of gas, sourced from the Bontang LNG plant, to the 200 MW PLTDG Pesanggaran diesel and gas power plant owned by PT Indonesia Power, a subsidiary of state owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN).
