PT Badak NGL, the operator of the Bontang LNG plant in East Kalimantan, is targeting to ship a total of 297 cargoes of LNG this year, down from 317 cargoes last year.
Badak NGL's President Director Agus Haryanto said that until mid-July, the LNG plant had sent a total of 160 cargoes of LNG.
Aside from LNG, the LNG plant will also produce a total of 350,000 tons of LPG this year.
The LNG plant has resumed LPG production this year after suspending the production for years. The firm resumed the LPG production to meet the rising demand of the fuel on the domestic market and the decline in LNG demand from its traditional buyers in Japan and South Korea due to the global slowdown.
