South Kalimantan coal miner PT Borneo Indobara, a coal unit of Sinarmas Group?s PT Golden Energy Mines has set target to produce 6 million tons from its concession in Tanah Bumbu Regency next year from the expected output of 4 million tons this year.
?We are optimistic to meet this year?s target of 4 million tons. With such production, the GEM?s total output as a group would be about 6 million tons this year and would be ramped to 9 million tons in 2013,? the company?s source told Petromindo.com.
The source said that most of the output with calorific value of 4,000 kcal/kg (GAR) would still be exported to China and India.
GEMS has several coal mines in Muara Bungo, Jambi province under its unit PT Kuansing Inti Makmur and Borneo Indobara in South Kalimantan and PT Manggala Alam Lestari in Musi Banyuasin, South Sumatra.
