Borneo Indobara sees lower 2012 output

South Kalimantan coal miner PT Borneo Indobara (BIB), a coal unit of Sinarmas Group?s PT Golden Energy Mines is expecting to produce around 3.4-3.6 million tons of coal this year, lower from original target of 4 million tons due to slowdown global economy and lower coal price, an industrial source told Petromindo.Com

As of November, BIB has produced around 3.2 million tons of coal. ?We are pessimistic to reach our target of 4 million tons,? the source said.

Last year, total coal output from BIB was 2.7 million tons. BIB has set a target to produce 6 million tons from its concession in Tanah Bumbu Regency next year.
