IDX-listed hard coking coal mining company PT Borneo Lumbung Energi & Metal Tbk said it has exported around 420,000 tons of hard coking coal in the first two month of this year.

Borneo's Director, Kenneth Raymond Allan told Petromindo.com on Wednesday that the company has sent its coking coal to several countries such as Turkey and China.

"We have made eight shipments since January 2017, with the total volume of around 420,000 tons," he said. The latest shipment was a Panamax vessel in early March 2017 with total volume of 90,000 tons destined for Turkey. "At the end of February 2017, we shipped a Panamax vessel as well to China with total volume of 67,000 tons," he said.

Borneo, which has set production target of 2.5 million tons this year, produces coking coal, used in steel production, from its subsidiary PT Asmin Koalindo Tuhup, which has coal concession located in the Muara Raya Regency in Central Kalimantan Province.
