PT Borneo Pasifik Global, a coal trading company, expects 100 percent increase in coal sales volume next year to 4 million tons from 2 million tons this year.

"Our target for next year is 4 million tons. For 2017, we set target at 2 million tons," Rendy Halim, Director of PT Borneo Pasifik Global, said to petromindo.com on Tuesday.

Borneo Pasifik owns offtake contract with some coal producers in South Kalimantan and East Kalimantan provinces. It sources the coal from PT Singlurus Pratama, a third generation Coal Contract of Work mining firm in East Kalimantan province.

Borneo Pasifik operates coal logistics from the port to vessel. For Singlurus, the company dedicates two 3,000 DWT barges. "We will add 4 barge sets next year," he Rendy said.

Rendy stated that the company sells the coal both for domestic and export markets, mainly for coal-fired power plants. For export markets, Borneo Pasifik supplies for buyers in China, the Philippines and Thailand.
