Borneo proposes Samin Tan as chairman of Bumi

London-listed resource firm Bumi Plc said that it had received a notice from Borneo Bumi Energi $ Metal Pte. Ltd, a new shareholder of the Bumi Plc requiring for general meeting to appoint Samin Tan as chairman of Bumi Plc, a post that is currently held by Indra Bakrie - one of Indonesia's powerful businessman Aburizal Bakrie?s relatives.
Indra is proposed to be appointed as co-chairman of Bumi Plc.
Borneo Bumi also proposed the appointment of Nalinkant Amratlal Rathod as new CEO to replace Ari Hud, while Scott Merrilless was proposed to hold the CFO replacing Andrew Beckham.
The Borneo Bumi also proposed Jean-Marc Mizrahi, Alexander Ramlie, Michael Lucente and Graham Holdaway as member of directors of Bumi Plc.
It said that Nathaniel Rothschild, Andrew Beckham, James Campbell, Badung Tariono and Amir Sambodo would be named as directors from their offices as directors of Bumi Plc.
?The notice does not propose to make any changes to the positions of the other Directors: Sir Julian Horn-Smith, Sir Graham Hearne, Lord Renwick, Sony B Harsono, Philip Yeo, Steve Shapiro and Rosan Roeslani,? it said.
