IDX-listed hard coking coal mining company PT Borneo Lumbung Energi & Metal Tbk has started supplying coking coal at limited volume since July to Titan Group which is developing a nickel smelter in Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi.
Borneo Director Kenneth Raymond Allan told Petromindo.com on Thursday that the smelter is still under construction, which is scheduled for commissioning next year.
He said that his company for now has been delivering 10,000-15,000 tons per month of coking coal to the smelter. But when the smelter is completed, the supply volume will surge to 40,000 tons per month.
