BOS, Elnusa sign cooperation deal

Norwegian offshore seismic survey company Bergen Oilfield Services AS (BOS) announced on Thursday it has signed an MOU with Elnusa this month, assuring streamer capacity in Indonesia through the provision of a high end 3D vessel, processing capability and assisting with recruitment for seismic and maritime personnel.

Jan S?vik, BOS Executive VP Marketing and Sales said that Elnusa would be instrumental in developing the BOS footprint not only in Indonesia but also elsewhere in Asia and the Pacific.

"Elnusa's knowledge of the area and previous seismic experience made it an ideal partner for building the BOS profile in Indonesia, which we hope to extend to include the wider Asia/Pacific region for both exclusive and non exclusive programs," he said.

"We are fully integrated in Norway with three BOS owned seismic vessels and a fully functional BOS DP department and we believe, through the Elnusa partnership, that we can establish a strong presence in Indonesia and beyond.

"BOS management has a long lasting relation with Elnusa and we are confident that this new MOU will be a great success for both companies now and in the years to come." (alex)
