Bosowa unveils repeat tender for coal supply

Power company PT Bosowa Energi unveiled on Wednesday a repeat tender for the supply of 1.2 million tons of coal per year for its 2x125 MW coal-fired power plant (expansion) in Jeneponto, South Sulawesi Province.

Bosowa said in a tender announcement that the coal supply contract, which will be valid for five years and can be extended five time, will be based on cost, insurance, and freight (CIF) scheme.

Coal miners or consortium of coal miners interested to participate in the tender are required to register and get access to tender documents on September 15 and 18, 2017 at the office of PT Bosowa Energy coal procurement team in KYK Building, fifth floor, on Jl Cideng Barat No 32-33, Central Jakarta.

Consortium participating in the tender must comprise of at least two coal miners and maximum three, the announcement said.

Tender participants must meet a number of requirements including have coal production permit which is valid for at least another five years, and have coal reserves of at least six million tons dedicated for this supply with the following specifications.
1. Gross Calorific Value (ar): 4000 - 4400 kcal/kg
2. Total Moisture (% ar): 32.0 (Typical)
2.3. Ash (% ar): 5.0 (Typical)
2.4. Sulphur (% ar): 0.3 (Typical)
2.5. HGI: 48.0 (Typical)
