BP assessing gas reserves ahead of constructing Tangguh train 3 and 4

BP Plc, the operator of Tangguh LNG project, West Papua, is currently assessing the gas reserves before going ahead with the construction of the third and fourth LNG train, Evita Legowo, Director General for Oil and Gas at the Energy and Mineral Resource Ministry, said.

?The plan to build Tangguh train 3 and 4 as well as petrochemical complex is being finalized. The gas reserve is being assessed,? Evita said. She expects the plan to build the trains will be finalized early next year.

The third train is projected to produce around 3 million tonnes per annum of LNG. (Bernard)
