BP, Bali Global sign deal to study energy supply to Bali

BP Berau, Indonesian unit of energy giant BP Plc on Tuesday signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with PT Bali Global Energi to study energy options to be used to develop power plant in Bali.

Nico Kanter, BP Indonesia Head of Country said that the study will also include the potential of using liquefied natural gas (LNG) to fuel Bali?s future power plant development.

The study is expected to be completed in January 2010.

BP Berau runs Tangguh LNG plant in West Papua with capacity of 7.6MTPA. (alex)
