State-Owned Enterprises Agency (BP BUMN) said PT Pertamina (Persero) has completed the restructuring of 27 business entities in the first phase of a streamlining program covering a total of 124 entities across the group.

The update was disclosed following a meeting between BP BUMN Head and Danantara Indonesia Chief Operating Officer Dony Oskaria and Pertamina's management on Thursday to review progress on the restructuring initiative.

According to BP BUMN, the streamlining program is intended to simplify Pertamina's corporate structure, improve operational efficiency and strengthen its focus on core energy businesses.

Pertamina presented plans for subsequent restructuring phases, including liquidations, divestments, mergers and spin-offs, along with quarterly completion targets. The company is also coordinating with institutions including upstream oil, gas regulator SKK Migas, the Directorate General of Oil and Gas, state audit agency BPKP and the Attorney General's Office to accelerate the process.

BP BUMN said the restructuring forms part of broader efforts to improve governance, efficiency and competitiveness among state-owned enterprises, while enabling Pertamina to focus on its role as a strategic national energy company.
