BP, Chevron get new bosses

UK energy giant BP plc has appointed Christina Verchere as Regional President Asia Pacific, replacing William Lin who is promoted to become Head of the Group Chief Executive?s Office in London.

Prior to her appointment, Verchere was BP Regional President Canada, BP Indonesia Spokesperson Tantri Yuliandini said.

Lin, who held his position for more than five years, is responsible for the advancement of BP?s Tangguh Train III expansion plan.

Meanwhile, Abdul Hamid Batubara, who was President Director of PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia (CPI) has entered retirement and the company has appointed Albert Simanjuntak as acting President Director. Simanjuntak is CPI Senior VP Sumatra Operations, which oversees Indonesia?s top oil fields in Central Sumatra.
