BP, Chubu sign Tangguh GSA

Separately, BPMIGAS Spokesperson Amir Hamzah told Petromindo.Com that under the Gas Supply Agreement (GSA) Tangguh will supply Chubu 250,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) of LNG in 2011-12 and 500,000 TPA in 2013-15.
Chubu will buy a portion of LNG shipment that would originally be shipped to Sempra in North America but could be diverted to other market.
Priyono said on February 4, 2010 that Tangguh will sell 700,000 tonnes of LNG from Sempra diversion to Chubu for 8 years.
Sempra has a 20-year contract to lift 3.6 million TPA of LNG from Tangguh project. BP has the right to divert half its volumes to other destination by paying fee to Sempra.
An official with IDX-listed state gas distribution firm PT PGN recently told Petromindo.Com that it was in talks to secure 1-1.5 MTPA of LNG supply from Sempra diversion starting 2011 to meet the requirement for its proposed LNG receiving terminal in North Sumatra.
Tangguh LNG has installed capacity of 7.6 MTPA and has been fully contracted by its customers in East Asia and North America.
The Company said recently that it might make Final Investment Decision on Tangguh expansion in 2011 with completion expected in 2015. The Company did not give detail about the additional capacity planned for Tangguh. (godang)
