BP clarifies report on Ferrostaal?s petrochemical plant

(Following is a letter from BP Indonesia commenting on the article published by Petromindo.com on Oct. 21, 2015)

We are writing with regards to an article published in Petromindo.com on Wednesday, 21 October 2015 titled "SKK Migas, BP Determine Location for Ferrostaal's Petrochemical Plant".

We believe the article was based on statements made by SKK Migas Chairman Amien Sunaryadi during the DPR Commission VII Public Hearing on Monday, 19 October 2015. We also believe that Pak Amien's statement in the article was not represented fully.

Based on the transcript that we obtained from the public hearing, Pak Amien's full statement was ?On the Tangguh Train 3, we have indeed held discussions with BP and Ferrostaal. We have even discussed that the area most suitable to build an industrial estate, which is Onar. We have inspected the area. However, the gas reserve at Tangguh, according to calculation, will only be sufficient to feed Train 3". (ends)
