BP completes Tangguh Train II maintenance ahead of schedule

BP Indonesia, operator of the Tangguh LNG plant in West Papua Province, said it had early this month completed the routine maintenance of the plant?s Train II facility.
Country Head of BP Indonesia Samsu Dharmawan said on Tuesday to Petromindo.com that the company has already sent notice to LNG buyers that the Train II has resumed operation. ?It was completed two weeks ago, a few days ahead of plan,? he said.
BP suspended the Train II on April 2 when it started the turnaround work of the facility.
The Tangguh LNG plant currently comprises of two units of train each with a capacity of 3.8 million tons per annum (mtpa). The company is developing a third unit (train 3) also with a capacity of 3.8 mtpa, and has appointed a consortium comprising of Tripatra, Chiyoda, Saipem and Suluh Ardhi Engineering as the EPC contractor for the expansion project, which is targeted to be completed 2020.
