BP Indonesia to finalize FID for Tangguh expansion in 2014

BP Indonesia, the operator of the Tangguh LNG plant in West Papua, plans to complete the final investment decision (FID) for the Tangguh expansion in 2014.

This was disclosed by BP Indonesia Country Head, Dharmawan Samsu to Petromindo.com Tuesday.

For this year, BP Indonesia plans to drill one exploration well and two appraisal wells. ?BP has a commitment to carry out exploration work in 2013,? he said, pointing out that drilling at the Maturi Block was scheduled to start in February this year.

Dharmawan added that BP is currently entering the Front Engineering End Design (FEED) work for the Tangguh Train III facility. ?There are a number of process being finalized, (but) we have yet to determine on when the process will be started, but for certain in 2013,? he said.
