BP Indonesia to sell 8 cargoes of Tangguh LNG in spot market

BP Indonesia, operator of the Tangguh LNG refinery in Papua, will sell eight cargoes of LNG, in the spot market.

It stated in a press statement that the LNG would be taken from volume allocated for Sempra Energy, one of the long-term buyers of the Tangguh LNG, as the Mexico-based company could not fully absorb the allotment.

Upstream authority BPMIGAS? Chairman R. Priyono said the selling of the eight cargoes of LNG will be made through a two-stage open tender process. The first stage will probably take place next week, while the second in September, he said.

The LNG delivery from the first stage tender will be made in the mid of July, while the second shipment will be in October.
