Deputy chairman of BP Migas, Zanial Achmad, said that the agency was still waiting for the report which would be used as the basis for the development of the Tangguh project which is expected to begin its first gas shipment to China in 2006.

?We will needs about two or three months to evaluate the Plans of Development before seeking the approval from Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro,? he said.

He said that the plans for the first stage of the development of the gas project should be approved by the minister. ?The plans for the second or third stage only need approval from BP Migas,? he said.

According to him, BP Indonesia should complete the Plans of Development report as soon as possible given the fact that the project should have to start its commercial production in 2006. (*)
