State owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero) has managed to sell four uncommitted cargoes of LNG from the Bontang LNG plant in East Kalimantan to UK-based oil giant BP on spot market overseas.
?BP initially ordered two cargoes, but then the company asked for two more cargoes,? an industry source told Petromindo.com.
Pertamina has now delivered three of four cargoes from Bontang LNG plant to BP, according to the source.
BP uses a cargo with size of 155,000 m3, so it can be said that BP had ordered a total of five standard (std) cargoes. A standard cargo equals to 125,000 m3.
Earlier this portal reported that Pertamina has currently managed to sell 10.5 uncommitted cargoes (of a total of 22 uncommitted cargoes this year) of LNG from the Bontang LNG plant on spot market overseas.
