BP seeks consultant for Tangguh gas production facilities project

BP Berau Ltd, the operator of Tangguh LNG project in Papua, has opened a pre-qualification tender for consultants to provide Project and Construction Management Services (PCMS) to support the proposed Tangguh Gas Production Facilities (TGPF).

According to company?s tender announcement, the TGPF consists of 2 (two) GPF Platforms and Onshore Site Facilities and 2 (two) GPF Pipelines and Cables. These unmanned facilities will be built with high reliablity of gas supply requirement to LNG plant in an extreme conditions such as high pressure, high temperature, corrosive gas and extreme site conditions.

Registration for the bidders is scheduled from June 2, 2005 to June 6, 2005, from 08.00 ? 13.00.

According to BP, the platforms and pipelines projects are currently being implemented using two EPCI (engineering procurement construction installation) contracts.

Successful contractor is to provide all necessary PCMS, and various other technical assistance services and resources to oversee certain critical aspects of the works related to EPCI activities for TGPF during onshore, near shore and offshore construction activity for Platforms, Onshore site Facilities and Pipeline and Submarine Cable, the announcement said.
