BP starts tender for FEED of Tangguh Train 3 expansion

BP Indonesia said that it has commenced the tender for the onshore LNG front end engineering and design (FEED) scope of work to support the development of the third LNG train in Papua.
William Lin, BP Regional President Asia Pacific told Petromindo.com Thursday that the tender has been participated by three consortium.
The first consortium comprises of PT. Rekayasa Industri, JGC Corporation, PT. KBR Indonesia and PT. JGC Indonesia.
The second consortium consists of PT. Tripatra Engineers and Constructors, PT. Tripatra Engineering, PT. Chiyoda International Indonesia, PT. Saipem Indonesia, PT. Suluh Ardhi Engineering and Chiyoda Corporation.
And the third consortium comprises of PT. Technip Indonesia, Samsung Engineering Co. Ltd, PT. Technip Engineering Indonesia, Technip France and PT. Wijaya Karya
?This tender is currently listed to close in August 2013. A thorough evaluation and approval period will follow the tender closing,? Lin said.
As reported earlier, the Tangguh Train 3 facility will have a capacity of 3.8 million tons per annum, about 40 percent of which to be dedicated to the domestic market. It is expected to come on stream in 2018.
