BP to acquire 3D marine seismic data on Bawean I block

Anglo-American oil giant BP has planned to acquire a 545 square kilometers of 3D marine seismic data over the Bawean I production sharing contract (PSC) offshore northern East Java, according to the company?s bidding invitation on Wednesday.
?The survey varies between 330 ? 545 square kilometers open water with the maximum water depth approximately of 110 meters,? BP said, adding the airgun source array and two streamer receivers with maximum 3000 meter offset are acquiring the data.
The company said the field acquisition was scheduled to be done between mid May ? mid August 2003.
The Bawean I exploration block was awarded in 2001. (robert)
