BP to make FID on Tangguh expansion in 2011

UK energy giant BP plc revealed on Tuesday that it will make final investment decision (FID) on Tangguh LNG plant expansion in 2011.

The Company revealed in a presentation that the Tangguh expansion project may start up operation in 2012-2015 period.

It did not gave detail.

The BP-operated Tangguh LNG project which is located in West Papua currently consists of 2 trains with combined capacity of 7.6 MTPA.

BP also reported that it also expected its Sanga Sanga coal-bed methane in East Kalimantan to start operation in 2012-2015 timeline.

BP, along with its partners were awarded Sanga Sanga CBM block in November 2009.(alex)
