BP to restart Tangguh plant within days

BP said it will re-start Tangguh LNG plant first unit in the next few days following weeks of shut down.
Tangguh LNG VP Ngurah Kresnawan told parliamentary hearing on Wednesday that the plant experienced troubles in valves malfunction and high mercury content in gas.
BP shut down the plant?s first unit in early August.
The plant?s second unit is due to come onstream in October, R. Priyono, Chairman of upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS said earlier.
Tangguh will have capacity of 7.6 MTPA when both of the trains operate in full capacity.
The plant has long-term contracts to supply LNG to SK and Posco in South Korea, CNOOC in Fujian, China and Sempra in North America. (godang)
