?The ONWJ gas pipeline will be shut down from May 23 to June 6 for maintenance program,? head of BPMIGAS, the oil and gas upstream authority, Kardaya Warnika told reporters Tuesday.
Kardaya said BPMIGAS, together with BP and state-owned electricity firm PT PLN, was currently discussing for alternative gas sources to fuel PLN?s Muara Karang and Tanjung Priok power plants.
The ONWJ has two gas sales agreements in place to supply up to 260 MMcf/day to PLN and state-owned gas transmission and distribution PT PGN Tbk. The agreement with PLN was signed in 1992, and the gas delivery started on September 1, 1993 followed by signing the gas delivery to PGN.
The ONWJ pipeline system comprised approximately 119 miles of single phase line and 44.5 miles of multi-phase pipeline with inside diameters ranging from 16 to 26 inches. (dino)
