BPH Migas begins inspection of fuel refill stations

Downstream oil and gas authority BPH Migas said it will start this month a ?compliance operation? on fuel oil retailers, initially targeting fuel stations in the Greater Jakarta Area and West Java Province.
BPH Migas said in a statement Thursday that it is cooperating with a number of institutions including the National Police in the operation, which includes plan to monitor the implementation of the government?s one fuel price policy in November and December.
The authority said that full-scale operation across the country will be implemented next year to make sure that fuel stations comply with existing regulations including having the required licenses and operating standardized equipment, and distribute fuel products in accordance with standards.
